Brittaney Wood, LPCC/LMHP-R
I believe in people and their ability to make changes in their lives that best serve them. My aim is to work collaboratively with clients to identify and understand patterns in which they feel stuck and find relief from narratives that are no longer serving them. While working with individuals, couples or families my aim is to collaborate with you to identify your personal goals and identify the steps needed to reach them. I believe within a safe and supportive environment each person can exceed their goals by gaining the necessary skills and confidence in themselves to flourish.
I intend to focus on your individual and relational needs through the use of a person-centered approach with an emphasis on the strengths of each individual. My objective is to create a strong therapeutic relationship within a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals and those who are going through a transitional period of their life.
We will work together to assess your mental health needs and develop a plan that will optimize your strengths and offer you tools that you can use for a lifetime.

With a history of working with children with autism and their families and after a few years of providing therapy services in the schools I have gained a passion for working with neurodivergent children and adults. In addition to individual work, I have a history of parent coaching and family work that guides my approach. I would love to work with you individually or with the whole family.

Providing a safe and supportive environment for children and adults to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the symptoms they are experiencing so we can create a treatment plan that addresses your unique needs. I enjoy the process of evaluating neurodivergence and the information that it gives us to support continued treatment.

Teen and young adult therapy is a form of psychological treatment designed to address the unique challenges and concerns that young people face. This can include issues such as anxiety, depression, peer pressure, family dynamics, and educational challenges. The goal of therapy is to help young people better understand themselves, build coping skills, and develop healthy relationships, while providing a safe space to explore and resolve difficult emotions and experiences.

Focusing on improving communication and resolving conflicts within families. It can be helpful in addressing a variety of issues that impact family dynamics, such as marriage problems, parenting challenges, trauma, and mental health disorders. We work with family members to identify sources of tension or dysfunction, explore emotions and patterns of behavior, and develop strategies for positive change. Goals may include strengthening relationships, restoring trust, enhancing supportive communication, and promoting healthy boundaries.
